Journal 2
Since my last Journal entry, only one thing has really changed. I completed a class this semester and I am proud of myself because I have one thing down and it felt good to accomplish that. I had my final IEP(Individualized Education Plan). Anc Individualized Education Plan means I receive services and support from special education group. People that were in my IEP meeting were my mom, Mr. Arroyo, Mr. Gonzales, and Ms.Rashelle. I felt nervous during the meeting because I thought Mr. Arroyo was going to say negative things about me and make my mom worried and concerned but when we were at the meeting Mr. Arroyo said good things about me.
My mom and I talked about being in CPS for my career. Two reason why I want to be a CPS is because I want to help the children that don’t feel safe in their homes or their parents abuses them. My other reason is because my mom wants me to follow my dreams and make my family proud and help the children.
My first semester has been very stressful even though I thought it was going to be less work. I was wrong about that. Now that I am a senior it is very hard and they give you two days to work on it and turn it in. Also you have lots, I mean lots, of homework. There isn’t one day without homework unless you are on pace in all your classes. I think this semester I am doing good because of the I get help from my Special ED teachers.
What I need to accomplish before the semester ends is being on pace in my classes. I am behind in Algebra 1, U.S history, and Science. I need to start working harder and staying after school for help. If I ask for help I can be on pace and I don’t have to worry about being behind.
My senior project has been kind of hard to do because a lot of the questions I have to answer. I haven’t thought of some of the things it has asked. This has made me think harder about my future. The project is keeping me organized and preparing me for when I graduate. It will be fun to look back on this project and see what my plans were and if I accomplish my goals.
